About Me

My name is Ken Garrett, and I absolutely love everything guinea pig-related. As a licensed veterinarian, I have spent a considerable amount of time studying animals. I have always had a deep love and respect for the animal kingdom, and I earned my degree in Veterinary Medicine from the University of Wisconsin – Madison. I also completed my Bachelor of Science in biomedical science at Auckland University. I hold the animal chiropractic certification from the American Veterinary Chiropractic Association.

My passion for animals is limitless. For as long as I can remember, I’ve kept pets and been fascinated with their care and behaviors. From dogs and cats to rabbits and hamsters, I enjoy learning about and caring for all animals. However, guinea pigs have been my personal favorite for quite some time. They make wonderful pets and offer unmatched companionship.

Guinea pigs are fascinating creatures that make excellent additions to any family. Like all pets, they require proper care and attention. For the last several years, I have dedicated my time to learning about cavies and their unique needs. Each animal in the world has care needs specific to their species and learning about these things is incredibly eye-opening.

If you have guinea pigs at home or are considering adding these adorable animals to your family, you likely have some questions. Many pet owners wonder about the proper diet and nutrition for their animals because we want them to stay healthy for many years. We also get concerned about their physical activity, their happiness, and their safety.

I strive to provide a valuable resource for other guinea pig enthusiasts who want to provide the highest level of care for their beloved pets. As a vet and a pet owner, I always strive to contribute to the well-being of animals and improve the health of any animals in need.
